I’m a contemporary rug hooking artist living in North Carolina, USA. I create modern style rugs using a traditional crafting technique. They are meant to be enjoyed as beautiful pieces of art for the wall, just like a painting.

My art is abstract and painterly in style. I often use both punch needle and traditional rug hooking techniques in the same rug, which give them a highly unique, dimensional look and feel. I create all of my own original designs and work intuitively, meaning that I may start with a concept or sketch, but the compositions and colors unfold and evolve naturally as I hook.

The process of making art and working with the craft of rug hooking is an absolute joy for me. My rugs are hand hooked, loop by loop and stitch by stitch, so it’s a very slow, intentional way of creating. I sit and enjoy quiet moments of creative flow and I share my art as beautiful handcrafted pieces meant to spark a joy within you too.
